Experience almost the entire lake in just 60 minutes! Discover the enchanting ‘Wild Cat Island,’ famously featured in the 1970s film ‘Swallows and Amazons’, see the secret harbour along the way.
You also have the option to drop off at Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin, poet, artist and social reformer. Visit the house, garden, craft gallery and Brantwood Café.
Brantwood offers a fascinating insight into the world of John Ruskin and the last 28 years of his life spent in the Lakes. Filled with many fine paintings, beautiful furniture and Ruskin’s personal treasures, the house retains the character of its famous resident.
The Brantwood Café is situated in Brantwood’s former coach house the Terrace is a unique and friendly place to relax while you enjoy the breathtaking views over Coniston Water, from snow-dusted peaks to glorious summer days. Return times from Brantwood are 10.50, 12.10, 1.20, 3.00 and 4,10.
Tickets for the Wildcat Island Cruise also allow you to travel on our red route during the same day at no extra charge.

- Nov 2026: Summer timetable until 1st then each day 2-22 November plus 28th & 29th.

- Jan 2027: 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31
- Feb 2027: Daily from 1st Feb onwards until 5th March then our summer timetable starts on 6th March 2027.
